1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. They help a site work properly, remember your preferences or understand how it is used. Similar technologies, such as pixels and local storage, work in a similar way, and this policy covers them too.
2. Cookies we use
We keep cookies to a minimum. Strictly necessary storage is always on. How advertising cookies (the Meta Pixel) work depends on where you are:
- UK, EU and all other countries outside the US: the Meta Pixel only loads if you click Accept in our cookie banner.
- United States: the Meta Pixel loads when you visit, and our banner tells you so. You can opt out at any time with Opt out in the banner or the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information link at the bottom of our homepage. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as an opt-out.
| Type | Purpose | Consent needed? |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Needed for the website and the application form to work securely. | No |
| Analytics | Not currently used. | Yes, if added |
| Advertising | Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms): measures how many visitors from our Instagram and Facebook ads view the site and send an application, so we can see which ads work. We do not send your form answers or contact details to Meta. | UK/EU: yes (opt-in). US: notice with opt-out. |
3. Third-party services
- Meta (Facebook / Instagram): only if you accept advertising cookies, the Meta Pixel loads from Meta and may set cookies such as
_fbpto measure our ads. See Meta’s privacy policy for how Meta uses this data. - Google Fonts: we load our fonts from Google. This does not set cookies, but Google receives your IP address to deliver the fonts.
- Embedded videos: the video player we use to show our videos may set its own cookies when you play a video.
- Call scheduling: the booking tool you use after applying may set cookies needed for it to work.
These providers have their own privacy and cookie policies.
4. Your consent
When you first visit our website, a cookie banner explains our use of advertising cookies. Outside the US, nothing non-essential is set unless you click Accept. In the US, you can opt out at any time. We use your approximate location (country only, from your IP address, not stored) to show the right banner. You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of our homepage.
When tracking is allowed and you send an application, our server also reports that event to Meta (the Meta Conversions API) so it is counted even if an ad blocker stops the Pixel. It sends only technical data (IP address, browser details and Meta’s own cookie IDs), never your form answers or contact details.
5. How to manage cookies
You can block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the website, such as the application form, from working properly.
6. Contact us
If you have any questions about cookies, email us at pumpyouconsulting@gmail.com. For more about how we use your data, see our Privacy Policy.
